Who We Are

RUYAN is a mobile application and website that provides dream interpretation and meditation services. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It is written in plain language — we value clarity and understanding.

What Information We Collect

Information you provide when you write to us:

  • Dream texts (the dreams you write in the app; those you share via the “Write your dream” form on the landing page)
  • Email address (for interpretation submission or account use, optional)
  • Birth information (if you choose astrological interpretation — optional)

Information we collect automatically:

  • Device type, operating system, language setting (for compatibility between the app and the site)
  • Visited pages/screens (aggregated statistics via Google Analytics 4)
  • IP address (for security and geographic content delivery, for a short period)

Why We Collect It

  • To provide personal dream interpretation (we send the dream text to an AI engine, and an interpretation is generated)
  • To measure service quality (which symbols are searched more often, which interpretations resonate)
  • For legal obligations (KVKK / GDPR compliance)

We do not sell data to third parties for marketing purposes. At all.

Third-Party Services

  • Azure OpenAI (interpretation + translation generation) — Microsoft EU region
  • Google Cloud Vertex AI (audio meditation generation) — EU/US
  • Google Analytics 4 (visit statistics) — anonymized IP
  • Hetzner (server — Germany)
  • Apple App Store / Google Play (mobile application distribution)

Each is bound by its own privacy policy; we share only the data that is necessary.

How Long We Keep It

  • Dream texts: for as long as the account remains active (if you request deletion, we delete them completely within 30 days)
  • Email: until you unsubscribe
  • Analytics: aggregated, non-personal, 14 months
  • Server logs: 30 days

Your Rights

  • Access: You may ask which information we store about you
  • Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate information
  • Erasure: You may request deletion of all your data
  • Data portability: You may download your data in a structured format
  • Objection: You may object to the way your data is processed

Children

RUYAN is not intended for users under 13 years of age. Use by users aged 13–18 requires parental consent.

Changes

When this policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the bottom of the page is revised. In the event of material changes, an in-app notification is sent.
